BANANA CREAM WITH CHOCOLATE

Ingredients:

  • 4 brown bananas
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • half a tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon grated chocolate
  • Chopped nuts (optional)

Elaboration:

  1. Using a hand mixer, puree the bananas in a bowl.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and stir well.
  3. Serve the fresh cream in small cups and garnish with chopped nuts.

ICE CREAM WITH BROWN BANANAS

Single-ingredient ice cream? Yes, you can easily make a delicious banana ice cream.

Ingredients (serves 2):

  • 5 bananas

Elaboration:

  1. Freeze the peeled bananas.
  2. Put the frozen bananas in the processor or blender. If you don’t have a powerful model, it helps to add some water or plant-based milk, or let the bananas thaw a bit so the processor can crush them without problems.
  3. You can take short breaks so that the mixer does not overheat and press the dough with a spoon so that the machine can process it.
  4. Mix well until a creamy dough is formed and the delicious dairy-free alternative to conventional ice cream, which tastes surprisingly little like banana, is ready.

SPICY SOUP WITH BROWN BANANAS

Not only can you prepare sweet dishes with brown bananas, try an exotic spicy banana soup as well. It is very quick to prepare and has a surprising taste.

Ingredients (for four people):

  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 can coconut milk
  • 400 ml vegetable broth
  • 1 level tablespoon curry powder
  • half a teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Hot chili flakes
  • Peanuts and parsley (for garnish)

Elaboration:

  1. Chop the onions and slice the bananas.
  2. Heat the oil in a saucepan and sauté the chopped onions until transparent.
  3. Add the bananas, curry powder, cinnamon and chili, and sauté for three minutes.
  4. Deglaze with broth. Add the coconut milk and bring to a boil.
  5. Meanwhile, chop the peanuts into large pieces and toast them in a small pan without oil. Finally make a fine cream with a hand mixer and season with salt and curry.
  6. Serve garnished with toasted peanuts and chopped parsley leaves. This soup is perfectly accompanied with pita or baguette bread.

BANANA AS AN EGG SUBSTITUTE

Ripe bananas replace eggs in cakes and other dishes. One crushed banana replaces two medium eggs. Due to the sweetness of the banana, the sugar in the recipe should be reduced by 50 g.
